Jim Christie, Ph.D.
Lead Pastor

Jim was ordained in the Christian & Missionary Alliance. He helped found Rouge Valley Alliance Church in 1987. The church subsequently went through one merger, four moves, and three name changes in its quest to gain a foothold of ministry in Scarborough. Jim has been part of the leadership team throughout, serving as lead pastor since 1990.

Jim received his doctorate in Classics from the University of Toronto in 1994. He teaches Greek and New Testament seminary courses at Tyndale Seminary.

Rhonda Maccarone, MDiv.
Executive Pastor

Rhonda has been with the church from its earliest days, officially joining staff in 1995. She currently serves as Executive Pastor. She received an MDiv from Tyndale Seminary in 2005.

Ben Mapa, M.Th. S.
Associate Pastor

Ben joined Community Alliance Church in 2008. He is the Pastor of Ministry Development. He also serves as an Executive Officer of the Conference of Filipino Alliance Ministries (CFAM) and the President of the Association of Filipino Pastors in Canada (AFPC).

James Evangelista
Youth Intern

James Evangelista joined staff as Youth Intern in 2006 after spending a year at Capernwray Bible School in British Columbia. He is a full-time university student studying software development, but finds plenty of time to spend with the youth of our church and community.

Maryam Zadeh
Persian Ministries

Maryam has been involved informally and formally in Christian minstry among Persian speaking people for over 20 years, both in Iran, in Germany, and in Canada. She delights especially in worship and pastoral ministries, and was called to Community Alliance Church in 2008 to initiate a Persian ministry here. For more information please call 647-827-2603.
